That way you will have a list to refer back to in choosing a way that will bring you comfort.
ANOTHER STRESS RELIEF TIP......Create a "Goal/Dream Book". Here's how.....buy a photo album which has the large static pages which open from one side. Using magazines, newspapers or drawings, select pictures which illustrustrate several goals and dreams you have for yourself and your family. Yes, sometimes, we can be SOOO stressed out it makes it difficult to even remember we have dreams or goals. Which makes this exercise even more crucial. The "goal" of the goal/dream book is to get you focused on your future.
To get things rolling, a visual reminder of the things that make you happy can go a long way to actually making those dreams a reality! It is important to try to fill as many of the pages as possible. You can put anything in the book....it is yours to tailor-make. You can add pictures of a different type of job - one you would like to go to school to learn more about...one you are passionate about! You can use words to describe things, improve relationships in your life and with God. You could include pictures of a new hobby you want to take up. Perhaps you want to lose weight.... a scale could be helpful. Want to be on time.....a picture of a watch. Vacations, a dish pattern, a car, a family activity, camping, writing a book, a haircut, something you are scared to do but intrigued by, improved health, a home, children, you get the picture!
Just create your own book based on any small or big dreams or goals that pop into your head. Try to fill the book and review it often. Pretty soon, with some effort on your part, your dreams will begin to surface ...one at a time. That is the ultimate fun...you will be in touch with the part of you that still remembers enjoying yourself and making your dreams come true!
